Welcome to Campbell
Campbell is one of four Outhouses situated on Marlow Hill. The Victorian buildings have huge character with a central staircase in the entrance, communal living and workspace on the ground floor with all bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. Campbell has around 50 pupils; from ages 12 to 17. The youngest four year groups have year group studies and share dorms, and the oldest pupils have study bedrooms and their own sitting room.
Each year we have different annual House themes and this year it is ‘appreciation’. We encourage pupils to appreciate who we are and value each member of the House every day through activities. A popular event recently was making anonymous appreciation cards for others in the House which were received with great surprise! In the Inter-House competitions, Campbell is always ranked near the top whether for sport, music, drama or academic achievements. Our pupils enjoy having close friendships, not only in their own year but also across the year groups, which makes the House feel like a family. We frequently see younger pupils eating meals with older pupils and asking for help with prep, or simply playing games in the dorm before bedtime. Our activities can range from weekly casual craft, quiz or baking evenings led by LVI pupils and Tutors, to off-site trips to the theatre, bowling or paintballing.
