‘Back in the Spring of 2022, I reached out to the lettings team at Wycombe Abbey to see if it might be possible to arrange a short visit to the Abbey to allow our tour participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in this important part of US Eighth Air Force history. The School played a very important role for the “Mighty Eighth” during WWII. It was the main Headquarters building for the Eighth Air Force and Royal Air Force Bomber Command during the campaign and known by the code word of “Pinetree.” Throughout our tour, participants were treated with first class professionalism and courteousness. The team went way above and beyond to make our visit something that all of us will never forget.’
